Custom Gridfinity grid
A modular grid makes bins easier to move and replace. Before choosing compartments, check how many cells actually fit in your drawer.
EForm guide · 3DForge
EForm uses an object's visible outline to create a recess for it. Photo quality and calibration determine the quality of the outline.
Place one object on a contrasting background. Photograph it from above, keeping the camera as parallel to the surface as possible, with even lighting. Strong shadows, reflections and cropped parts make the edge harder to detect.
Place the measurement reference on the same plane. Use the A4 calibration sheet printed at 100%, without scaling to fit the page, or a €2 coin. Do not place the reference above or below the object.
Open the generator, upload your photo and follow the calibration steps. Compare the outline with the object's edges: manually correct missing areas or areas included by mistake. If local AI refinement is unavailable on your device, use the manual controls.
Compare at least one dimension with a real measurement taken with a ruler. Then choose the recess clearance and depth, allowing for raised parts and finger access.
The result is an insert with a recess derived from the top view; it is not a complete 3D scan of the object. The photo does not automatically describe undercuts, varying thicknesses or hidden parts.
STL generation and download are free. To print it, import the file into your slicer and check its dimensions and orientation. For a precise fit, first test a single insert with the printer and material you will use for the full project.
